With Lew’s Hardware™, award-winning designer Lewis Dolin brings a world of experience – and a fresh look – to the decorative hardware market. With a background in architecture and interior design, Dolin launched his first hardware line in 2002 and has since become a key player in the industry with his groundbreaking designs. His brushed brass Bar and Barrel Series spawned a new trend in home furnishings. And his Glass Bin Pulls, introduced in 2004, gave a new face to the classic, cup-like metal bin pull.
Lewis Dolin received his Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the City University of New York. He opened his design firm in New York City in 1980. His entry into the decorative hardware market is marked by the same innovative design that has gained him a reputation as an original, talented designer.
Dolin’s award-winning designs have been featured on HGTV as well as in the New York Times, Interior Design, This Old House Magazine, Home Makeover Ideas, Kitchen and Bath News, Restaurant and Hotel Design, Food and Wine, Home Furnishings Daily, Parade, and The Home by Susan Szenasy.
He has been a guest lecturer at NYU’s Graduate School of Restaurant Management, the New School, and SUNY Purchase. Over the years he has received awards for his commercial and residential projects as well as his signature product designs.
